Member Special: Galfer SS Brake Lines & HH Pads

*** Thanks to Rich for inviting me to post over here!!***

Hi All,

We'll run this special through 7/31....for ZX-10R bikes only...

GALFER STAINLESS (standard or SBK) LINES w/ HH PADS

Galfer braided stainless lines are a massive improvement over stock rubber brake hoses. Remember that with rubber brake hoses, the line must flex/expand before any braking pressure can be applied to the pistons, slowing down response time and making the lever feel "spongy". Galfer's 2-line racing kits come with all necessary hardware & washers to change out the stock stuff. Lines have silver fittings and your choice of clear, black, smoked, blue, or red outer coating.

One step up from braided stainless lines, the "Superbike" stainless brake lines from Galfer offer an improvement over even standard steel lines as well as giving you a custom look with the gold fittings.

These lines connect directly into the caliper without the use of a banjo bolt, and are available in clear, black, smoked, blue, or red outer coating. Note: These should be installed by a professional mechanic. Self-installation will void Galfer warranty.

The deal includes Galfer's HH brake pads (2 packs of 4 each to do your front end on the 10R) for a killer deal. The HH compound is a sintered bronzed base material that includes graphite and advance ceramics. It will provide instant powerful controlled braking force at any speed or temperature, rainy or dry weather. Great lasting power for track days, racing, and aggressive street riding where you want immediate stopping power.

For a step up in brake fluid performance, we're including a bottle of Motul 5.1 fluid (compatible with DOT-3 and DOT-4 fluids). Compared to the lower boiling points of stock D3/D4 brake fluids, Motul 5.1 has a higher boiling point (365 deg F) BUT is more stable (less hydrophilic - meaning less water absorbing) over time than the racing fluids which must be changed out frequently.

(Add gold fittings for $10 extra)

Front SBK 2-line kit + 2 packs of pads + 1 bottle (.5L) Motul 5.1 Brake Fluid:

*Add SS rear brake line to either kit above for $43 ($48 with gold fittings)

Best Regards,

Todd Robinson

Whats the benefit of the SBK lines over the Standard? Or drawbacks for that matter?
Thanks in advance Todd.

Thanks in advance Todd.
If you're racing or doing track days, there is a benefit. For the average street/performance rider, it would be almost negligible. The SBK lines thread directly into the caliper instead of going through another banjo fitting. Every time you have to push fluid through an angled banjo fitting you lose a little bit of performance, so the SBK kit eliminates that issue.

The drawback of the SBK kit is that if you install it improperly, you'll kill yourself. Some people have installed these with the lines coming out of the caliper and going near vertical, and the first time they compress the front end hard, they crimp the lines and have NO brake pressure get to the caliper. This is why Galfer calls these "race use only".

Even on my track bike (a former Erion FX bike) I don't have the SBK lines since it came to me with regular SS lines. I think they do fine, but there probably is a slight advantage to the SBK kit if you're racing. Otherwise, it just looks cool. :)

Best Regards,

Todd Robinson

Thanks,
Yup. After we review your order we'll send a PayPal payment request. We don't have it auto-forward to PayPal since we have found we need to manually adjust shipping for each order to be accurate. :)

I stock several of the dark smoke race (double bubble) screens, but not light or clear, although I can order them. LMK. Forum member price is $65 for tint or $60 for clear.

Best Regards,

Todd Robinson
