Zx6 J?

Can anyone give me some info on a 2000 ZX6 J? I need a new track bike for next year as my old F2 let me down and with my limited funds I found a 2000 ZX6 J online. Is this like a normal 6R ninja or is it some neutered version like a ZZR? Any help is appreciated.

it is going to be a zzr type ninja. not the "race type" 600 that we usually ride on the track

pretty sure the "non racy" version was the zx6E. The zx6 J was the flagship at the time. The one ERic Bostrom won the 600ss championship on! That was my first track bike. Good machine...overall pretty comfortable and had good power for a 600. Very outdated now though..oversized and overweight. Still highly capable both street and track

Thanks for the inputs. I'm fairly new to the whole track day thing, if I wasn't I'd run my 10R! I think a 600 is good enough for me at the level I'm at right now. I saw a guy with a 250 killing at beaverun.

i owned a zx6r from that year. It was a great bike. I shimmed the carbs and it ran great. It was easy to tune and cheap to mod. great bike
