zx10r turbo kit noise level

On this board and some other places, I've seen some posts that make me think one of the stage I turbo kits with the side-dump pipe is about as loud as a somewhat loud slip-on. Is this the case?

I'm wondering if the Muzzys or Velocity kit sounds like an F-22 about to launch, or worse yet an annoying slipon some kid would throw on their bike or Honda Civic to annoy the neighbors? Or, if you are cruising around town at moderate revs and speed, is the sound manageable, and it's just when you really get on the throttle that the banshees wail? Thanks- I'm really curious.

Yes, quiet until under high rpm load, even then it's not bad at all. Turbines are the best mufflers.
