After many threads and headaches for a working pdf format for this 595 page shop manual I went ahead and OCRed it.
I tested it out and it is now a fully functional searchable pdf file.
Its a OCR version of the photocopied one most have and for sale for $6 on ebay.
You can now easily search any word and jump to what you are looking for fast.
Regardless of regular
The OCR aligned all the pages and images accordingly as well.
I tested searching with numerous examples like the following and had no problem getting there.
"Bearing remover head"
"marked side faces out"
"stem bearing removal"
"City light bulb replacement"
Its a 106 mg file, so smaller than the photocopy of 188 mg.
All images, charts, etc are as they were. You can't search for words within charts, diagrams, but the word is above or beside it anyway, so no headaches.
Please feel free to share this with other ZX forums and the free world itself.
I've put a little zx-10r.net stamp on it.
Also if there is anyone else out there that has other shop/race manuals, for whatever Gen, that are photocopied and want it as a functional pdf? PM me and we'll get it sorted.
pssst - gimme some rep points, I don't wanna be a squid anymore :P
