I have gen3 Calipers on my 07. You MUST use 310mm front rotors or the pads will not touch the rotor completely. The gen3 Calipers sit further out on the fork mount. No spacers, its the opposite. Need bigger rotors and the gen3 rotors bolt right on a gen2 perfectly. Look at my signature at bottom of my post. I have gen3 tokico Calipers which are FANTASTIC. I have EBC XC Contour 310 mm prolite rotors. And I have Vesrah pads and stainless lines. The gen2 stainless lines work perfectly with the gen3 Calipers.

so I picked up a set of gen 3 calipers for $85 shipped....I planned on new rotors, so if Im understanding correctley I need to buy 310mm gen 3 rotors and from the looks of yours the calipers still need to be milled slightly to fit perfect, so neverendingmods, does it look like 320mm rotors will fit right on, Brembo offers 320 for the bike

You should also consider getting that Brembo master cylinder.

I've got the 2006 CBR1000RR calipers, steel braided lines, and the Brembo master cylinder on the bike. That setup will safely bring her down from 150 to 0 with two fingers, never a moment of brake fade and very confident feel regardless of the situation.

That setup was installed after a track day where the brake system completely failed while attempting to decelerate before a corner. Didn't low side, but went off the coarse and into the dirt.
