If it's for track racing, you should better change them both to Ohlins or something else, or revalve them...

Check them out, they have some offers

Will a 2008 zx10r shock fit on a 2004 zx10r? Can anyone answer that question? It's a better shock than the o4 with more adjustment. Thanks

Not to be obtuse. The 08 shock was mounted in the 04 /05 swingarm and had clearance: the resevoir didn't hit anything and you could see the travel of the swingarm? I appreciate your reply but I want to be 100% sure we're on the same page. And thanks again!

04 on top, 08 bottom.

all thats fairly noticable apart from colour is additional compression adjuster (hi/low) that sticks out a touch further...

Hello Tony,
I really appreciate your effort on my behalf and I hope I can do the same for you sometime. I see too that you installed the 08 swingarm on your 05. Your having some difficulty with the shock, right? Do you do trackdays? I thought the 08 shock wasn't to bad and riding on the street wouldn't tax it to much. As a matter of fact I think the 04 shock is a good unit that is just oversprung for lighter riders. I was considering revalving and replacing a lighter spring on my 04 shock by Racetech here in the states. Again thanks and I too enjoy WSB and WSS but your race coverage is so much better than ours.
Cheers

no mate my bike is just a garage queen lol. not too worried about all that stuff

want to run 05 WP shock (mainly cause its black, stealthing out whole bike) but resi sticks out too far to right for 08 arm

(see my other thread about conversion for more details...)

got the 05 and the 08 shock that came with arm just sitting around so easy to get a pic for you mate no worries. will ebay them in spring...
