What?!? Is it just me...

All,

Took my rear rim off for first time ( on the 10R that is) and there was absolutly zero lube or grease on the rear axel. The rim has never been off the bike...

All of my 8 previous bikes Ive taken apart have always has lube/grease on both axels.

Is this just my 10R or what???

BTW - my 10R has been garaged its whole life...

Grease = weight lol
I noticed the same thing on my 10 and the new 14, they don't slap grease on everything like the Zukes do.

Suggestion: Take the swingarm pivot bolt out, and grease that up and re-install it.

If you don't, you might eventually end up with a situation like I have on another older bike: non-removable swingarm because the pivot bolt is seized in the bushing inside. I'm hoping those bearings never go bad ...

Helibars, MRA screen, Ohlins damper, reversed shift pattern, sorted suspension, braided lines, Michelin Pilot Power, all else stock 'coz it's fast enough!

You should have spelled AXLE correctly and you would have come up with more results.

Thats normal. very little grease. if you look at the rear hub through those large hole. you will see the axle is expose . less grease is less dirt on the axle. this way. when you pulled the axle out. you won't pull dirt into the bearings.

which still did not answer my question.

Its not like Im asking, "which exhaust should I get..." or "how do I change my oil"

Less grease = less grit... makes sense

I guess I was expecting more, like on my other bikes... thanks
