Wow, it's been a while since this came up. Love mine.

It tells the bike it is always in 5th gear so that you get the more agrressive ignition map.

Do a search this has been discussed at length.

Like the name, one of my email addresses is [email protected]

Sarah Palin and friends can call it a snow machine all they want but Yamaha, Polaris and Bombardier plus the related magazines all seem to call them Snowmobiles.

Snow machines create snow on ski slopes. Just sayin'

ZX10, I hate to say this call Ivan if you think that is the way the Kawasaki TRE works as that is not what Ivan told me, this does not work like the Suzuki ones.

The Kawasaki TRE is a emmissions bypass to get by the fuel cut off problem that is part of the programming and cuases the twitchy on/off throttle response that the 10 exhibits when getting on and off of the throttle.

As long as it eliminates the twitchy throttle, it can work however it likes.
I'm happy with mine.

Bought mine before I knew of Ivan or this site. It actually calls itself a Derestrictor.

TRE stands for Timming Retard Eliminator so I just went by that.

This topic always spins out of control
