[QUOTE=peterd10r;4472713]Michael I'm a little confused with what your saying!check out Rea's ride!looks like he has all steel hardware on that bike!thats telling me his bike has to struggle at all to keep to that 165kg WSBK limit!there is still plenty of oem parts on that bike![/QUOTEe w

Come on mate, just relocate it and chop off that cable, theres gotta be 2-3 gram weight saving there

I doubt they are doing it to save weight, more so convenience. They change the shock out quite a bit depending on the track and condition (sponsored by Showa I believe meaning they prob have quite a few shocks setup for different purposes) and its a race bike so it may crash here and there.

If the res was bolted to the subframe that makes it 1 more bolt to remove/install when changing shocks which adds unneeded time to the process. Also by being on the inside it keeps it out of the way in case of a crash compared to being bolted to the exhaust hanger that sticks outside of the subframe.

I wasn't trying to be sarcastic, i genuinely struggle to communicate effectivly sometimes. I had mentioned too some months ago about shorting the adjuster cable, its just that i saw this and it prompted me to suggest it again, i apoligise if it came across wrongly.

I have some other pictures of it but there's nothing that'll lose you more weight.

No it's all good man I get it!I do remember you saying this but honestly Ive gone as far as I can for now!tbh the Carbon Battery tray is not for weight loss more for looks!I didn't even consider it until Marco sent me a photo of him doing 1! He new I would bite and I did so that's the story!if it was a race bike I wouldn't have that reservoir adjuster sitting out like dogs balls that's a given!so take care Michael without the bird!

I was at Magny-Cours to watch him win his fourth title, this was on display in the paddock area, mounted in a glass sided truck.

PeterD10R, is there a reason you haven't gone with the Febur carbon tail unit for this bike? Seems like it would be the lightest/simplest option. I'm going to pull the trigger on it as soon as I get my house sold (making two mortgages at the moment every month); but I'd like to hear from someone else who's tried it first.
