I am sure this has already been asked, but...
I just installed an Ohlins steering damper and need to torque down the steering stem nut.
What is the correct torque spec and what size socket, 36mm?

Thanks

Thanks guys,
No manual yet, my dealer here in Toronto doesn't even have a price on one yet.
I gave it a good tightening with an adjustable just to get going.
When I get home with the correct socket I will apply a little lock-tite and snug it to 58ft lbs.

Thanks :D

for fooks sake man WTF is goin on here??

OEM stem nut is 36fookin mm and the torque spec from the OEM manual is 58 fookin lbs no more & no less!!!! i wouldn't give 2 shits what Scotts says to tighten the stem nut as they didn't manuf the bike!!

BTW not directed towards anyone just venting whats correct.

58 ft/lbs....if the level of torque goes way above that then two things can happen....once you will strip the nut that you are tightening (it is only aluminum) or two you will be bowing the top triple clamp...not good
