Top End Power Loss

Just picked up an 07 all stock except dual Yoshi bolt-ons. It is very weak in the upper rpms. From 8-9k rpms and up it's flat (bogs) It will keep reving to redline just not much power. From 1k to 8k rpms it runs good and starts easy. No fi or any other lights.

I checked the basics, plugs, air filter, all 4 cylinders seem to be firing by feeling the header and the exhaust valve looks like it's working. Also no power commander and its been down before but doesn't look like it was too hard.

Anyone else have a similar issue or know of some other things to check?

Thanks!

Fuel pump output pressure is typically the cause of poor running in the upper rev range.

I may not be perfect, but at least I don't ride a Suzuki.

Thanks man your on top of things! Think I'll try my 05 pump for testing. Do you know if any of the aftermarket pumps are any good?

I've heard the Walbro ones are pretty good, but have no experience with them.
