Throttle response

My 05s throttle response is a little doggish. Ive got a Yoshi carbon slipon and a KN filter and thats it. Ive got a friend of mine who has a CBR929 and his throttle response is ridiculous. Any thoughts on how I can get mine to respond with just a flick of two fingers like his?

When's the last time you cleaned your K&N? Try tossing a stock filter back in.

I clean it every fourth or fifth ride. The guy with the 929 has a PC with the throttle response indicator on it and when he barley flicks his throttle it responds instantly. Im just wonderin if I should invest in a PC3 to get that kinda of response. Plus I got a little backfiring on the decel which I know I can fix with block off plates. If Im rollin in 2nd and hit my throttle it takes more than a second to respond. All you ten gurus HELP!

1st gear goes to 100mph! theres plenty of get up. i went -1 in the front and noticed a nice improvement. and yes a pc3 will help and if you dont want the backfiring, remove the air valve plates and take out the reed valve right there. flip it upside down and put your stock air valve cover back on. and if you want get a couple vacuum caps to cap off them airvalves.

Thanks guys. I havent checked my plugs in awhile so they may need a little cleaning. My ten has never had instant throttle response but alot of guys are saying the 1/5turn throttle mod helps. Whats the cost of one and do you get everything you need with it?

I had a 929 and thats the nature of it so comparing your 10 to it would be like ying & yang.

I understand that but I figured an 05 ten would have better throttle response than a 2000 Honda 929.
