To those with HIDs--Ballast Location

I just recieved my HID kit, and am trying to figure out the best place to mount the ballast on my 07. Anyone have any suggestions? Also, which wire is pos and neg on the factory plug to the H11 bulb?

Don't use the tape that comes with the kit. Go to Home Depot and use 3M double sided.

Most people jut fit the ballast wherever they can find room, there's not a whole of room.

I have mine zip tied to the subframe in the rear. Where the tail of the bike flares out and back in ...behind it. I had to extend 2 wires to go up to the front but...cant see them and theyre out of the way!

Does the hid mod make a lot of difference?

I used the double sided 3m tape and stuck them inside the fairing. One on each side.

Mine are on the inside of the inner fairing, right beside the forks. Used double sided 3M and no problems in about 5000 miles.

green 10r, Akro EVO 2, Hyperpro rsc, tre, pcIII, Puig DB, K&N, Purvision HIDs, Speedohealer, GONE

If you have the 2nd Gen 10R with the projectors it makes a huge difference without blinding other drivers. Try the 50 Watt kits they're sweet...33% more light.
