suspension settings?

hey guys, i still have my 10 with the factory suspension settings and would like to tune it to my weight (185 pounds, dam you Carls JR ).the problem is that i am not familiar with how all the adjustments work. do you guys know of a book that can help me tune my suspension?

if you do a search there are quite a few posting on this very subject with a lot of info...also sport ride gives you setting that are a decent start from point

i did a search maviric but i wanted to see if their was i book to teach me what the adjustments do.

simple:
preload it the tension on the spring, you want to have the correct preload for your weight.
compression: hitting bumps not to hard to upset the chassis...think of this as the fork or shock moving up.
rebound: the return stroke from compression, too much and the bike doesn't return quick enough, too little and it springs back too quickly and upsets the bike or pogos.

that is the quick and dirty of it
