strapping???

When you drag strip guys refer to strapping the front down when dragging your bikes what exactly do you mean? I wanna go to atco soon and would like to have this done

i still have not taken my slow thing to the track but I have these. I hear it makes it harder to turn hence the reason there " track straps". If I go to the street races would putting these on be a pain when we gotta ditty mount and go to the next stop b.c of whoop whoop?
