Sprockets

Has anyone been able to figure out a cross reference from other bikes for the 15 and 16 tooth front sprockets.

I have them both but they are aftermarket and would like to pick them up with the rubber dampener.

The CS sprocket on the 10r crosses with the 91-93 750 ZEPHYR, 96-99 ZX-750r & 750rr which all use a 525 chain.

Floyd, I'm just curious, what's your hangup with the rubber damper? Are you worried about something happening without one on the CS sprocket?

Just peace of mind really. If the kawasaki engineers saw fit to spend the extra money for the stock sprockets to have it then there must be a reason. Kinda along the same lines as some aftermarket wheels come with no cush drive but the RCs I have on my ZX9 have a cush drive while Peerformance Machine wheels usually dont. I think that it will in time save a little shock to the drive train which means less wear and tear.

I just want to do the little things I can to help the longevity of the bike. I beat on it enough myself. If there are small things I can do to make things better then I will. I also change the oil and filter every 1000 miles its cheap insurance. It might seem excessive but I know that because I dragrace alot there is alot of clutch fiber material floating around in the oil.
My ZX12 has 1500 miles on it and I have changed the oil 5 times on it.
250,500,1000, roughly 1200 and 1200 (these 2 were before and after winter oil changes)

I'm pretty sure (but not positive) that the 16th from the Z1000 is the same. Check the numbers on the sprocket specialists web site.

ZX10R front sprockets

The front sprocket from a late model ZX9 is a 16 tooth 525 chain sprocket with the urethane damper and is a exact fit on the ZX10R output shaft.
