Well at first when I got my Speedohealer mounted all was fine. This is until I had a couple trackdays.
When I mounted my unit I put it under the seat because there was plenty of room and it was a tidy looking mount. I got the power from the rear plate light since I am not using it anyway.
So if you are planning any trackdays in your future don't do it like I did. There is a better way.
First off. Mount it like under the rear cowl where you can acess it immediately without pulling the side covers and then the seat. That way you can use the speed recall feature without having to take off more componants than necessary.
Secondly and most important. Use a different power source. Because when I pulled my fuses for track day I end up without a speedometer. So you will want to use a power source that will remain constant. Most times on the track you cannot have lights, so I just pull those fuses. If I pull the tail light fuse I have no speedometer at all. Including odometer!
So this winter I will move it and change the power source.
Hope this helps someone..
