smoke coming out the tail pipe

ok heres the deal me and a couple of friends were riding today at about 170 or so,all of a sudden every one is telling me that a big cloud of smoke came out of my tailpipe and it wasm so thick that they could not see through it.they thought that i had blown a tire or crashed.some one said that my engine blew but thats not the case because i rode the bike another 100 miles or so and it rode fine.the bike is bone stock with 1000 miles.anybody no what that was.

what color was the smoke? and the only thing i have ever seen that just goes all of a sudden like that and blows a huge constant cloud is a headgasket.

if it was just when u got on it it may be fuel

If this was the first time the bike had been "opened up" in a long time (or ever - in view of the low mileage) it's possible that some oil or water or whatever had accumulated in the airbox, and then the high revs made the engine suck it in.

Helibars, MRA screen, Ohlins damper, reversed shift pattern, sorted suspension, braided lines, Michelin Pilot Power, all else stock 'coz it's fast enough!
