Shutting off problems

I gutted my cat on my 06, so basically its a straight pipe. My bike started cutting off at low rpm. It does not shut off while doing about 70 plus. Do I need to have the bike remap, add a tre, or add a baffle???

If by shutting off, you mean that is continues to cutout and not run right. I would install a different map on your power commander till you find one that works better. that or just have dyno tuned.

A TRE isn't going to help. The baffles are already there in the stock exhaust.

My 3rd gen does the same thing sometimes when the rpm's are winding down in first gear. I just assumed it was because of the lack of back pressure.

What's the idle set at? Should be 1150 +-100 rpm. If its too low, it'll stall out.

I may not be perfect, but at least I don't ride a Suzuki.

I found my gen2 liked 1200 rpm at a minimum to eliminate any hesitation or wild cam sound at idle.
