Shift rod

Hey guys I need your help (and yes I tried a search but ). I just got the shift rod "A" and the Dynojet quickshifter 4-102. So I wanted to install those parts yesterday but the Dynojet shit rod with the quickshifter is way longer than the original Kawasaki shift rod! Now before I'm going to cut of some things I just wanted to ask you guys if you know more

Thanks in advance
Phil
