secondary butterfly mod?

So i have read about secondary butterfly removal? What is the down side? I am a kneedragger and do not want to lose stump pulling low end power I have come to enjoy. I have an 05 with Ivans TRE, kit intake cam,BMC filter, 16t sprocket, Power commander[not dyno tuned], FMF slip on. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I wouldnt recommend it , you will spend hundreds of dollars at the dyno once removing them, only to find out you gained nothing but more induction noise .

I haven't done the MOD either, but I have heard alot of people on here absolutley swear by it... Is this just the guys that are so addicted to modding that they are just happy it didnt take any power away?
I personally bought this bike cuz it didnt need any mods to be perfect.

From my understanding the Ivans TRE opens the secondary butterflies sooner than without it when opening up the throttle, so you would gain nothing but a smaller pocketbook for another dyno tune.

holy shit man, i have a 30 something page thread out there in the how-to section. i said it once ill say it again, try it and if you dont like it then put them back in. considering the mods youve done already youll have no problem figuring out how to do it. its like me telling you the tre is a pos when you prob figured that out for yourself the expensive way.
