How Did You Put The New Pads In?
Usually You Need To Push The Pistons Back Out So The New Thicker Pads Can Fit.
If You SomeHow Horked A Piston It's Conceivable It's Not Moving Freely.

You Might Verify Both Pistons Look Reasonable.

If the pads are not seated in the caliper properly this sort of thing can happen as you described

Bill - GI Pro, Hindle slip on, Smoked screen, ZX14 brakes.... Well, you feel lucky, punk? You shouldn't, this is a 10R
