Race Kit E.C.U. Problems !!!

Since i installed it my radiator fan will not come on....Checked fuses, wiring, coolant level, sensor and still it will not work. So, i put the stock ecu back on to see if the fan would come on and it came on with no problems.....Please Help !!! Iceman or Deezuhl or anybody with this experience...................

possibly a bad ECU maybe contact dealer and see if they can help you, there arent any switches in the programming to shut off the fan so might be somethign wrong with ECU.

if all else falls you can always hard wire it to a switch.

I bet it's normal, you would not need the fan to come on at race speeds, you bike is only gonna get hot enough to need it sitting in traffic. Thats why they call it a race ECU, is my bet. I know you can get a whole race harness as well that eliminates any unessesary plugs, you could always hard wire it in with a switch or a thermostatic switch.

There is nothing wrong with the ECU, these kits are normally used on race bikes as mentioned earlier in this thread there is no real need for a fan on the track so the ECU bypasses the fan. Get a manual fan switch installed and make sure it is water proof such as the ones used on boats. You should not have any problems after that. Are you running a PCIII also?
