Angry Please Help!!! 1/5th Throttle Conversion

I am trying to put my 1/5th throttle conversion on and just can't get it right. I've done all of the steps and my throttle still hangs up. I've cut the lock rings off and backed it up as far as i could but it doesn't give it enough slack. I have an 06 zx10 which only has one adjustment up top. I noticed in the illustration there were two adjustment but that must be the 04 and 05 model. Just wondering if I need to lengthen the cables, if so how much?

This may sound dumb but it caught me out when i did mine for a few minutes.

Check if your bar end is hanging up the throttle, i managed to pull the grip down and when i released the throttle was hung up on the bar end. Just slipped the grip back a bit and all was solved.

Both cables need to be adjusted. I just did my 04 last night and experienced the same mushy return. Had the air box off and cut the lock ring on by the throttle body, plus had to get pliers on the upper adjuster by the radiator/frame.

Another thing, make sure your insert sets square on the stock cam. I had to dremmel mine a bit so the hooks had sysmetrical cut outs, plus filed flat one side flush. Added a bit o'lith grease and all is fine.

G'luck

Smoke'em if u got'em (tires)

Thanks for the advice. I added about an inch to both cables and it works great now without any problems.
