Oil Leak !!!!!!!

i noticed a small oil spot under my bike (04 zx10r) on my trailor the day after i came from the strip. i wiped under my bike and it was a little oil. i rode the bike about 15 miles and there it was again. at first i thought it was a buildup of chain oil dripping off my front sprocket cover. i took the cover off, cleaned all the chain oil buildup and put the cover back on. that was last thursday and i looked today and i have the same spot on the floor under my bike. i looked and it looked like oil comming from a small square box kinda like an oil pan. would it be an oil pan gasket???? what and where is my bike leaking oil from?????????

Perhaps a thorough cleaning with contact/brake cleaner of the underside and then a short 10-15min ride that will hopefully reveal exactly where its coming from.

When you've actually worked out where it's from, just go around and make sure all the bolts are tightened up properly. Don't go ham fisted, just nip them up to make sure any of them haven't come loose. Did you check the sump plug?

I've never had chain oil leaking on the ground, but yeah, it's definately gone just about everywhere else! Usually ends up like a soft tar consistency and works it way down and out through the bike. Unless you're lubing the chain with something really thin, I'd doubt it, plus chain lube works it's way off at speed, not while the bike is stationary.

my baby was leaking a little coolant, not sure why but it just went away, could never see where it came from, i assume the drain hoses, sometimes they just come from odd places. hopefully, its just a bolt that needs a bit more turn
