Arrow Oil

Guys I would like to know what everyone is using for oil in their bikes. If anyone has any specific reccomendations or good experiences using a specific brand for an 04 ZX10. I have been using Spectro Blend. Since I have run out of it and moved to an area where no one sells it I figure its time for a change. I was not impressed with Spectro to begin with either. Look forward to your comments.

this is really a well discussed topic; however, the general consensus is use whatever you want as long as you change oil frequently and do it properly, your machine will last as long as you treat it right..

PS i use Motul line of oil

09' Ice Blended Peppermint Mocha Frappuccino
10' Venti Mocha Latte spilled some of it, was too hot
11' Peppermint Mocha W/Extra Shot of Espresso
12' Eggnog Venti Latte
13' Bagel
14' Standard Drip (since a Venti latte went up 20 cents)

I've used Mobil 1 in my bikes for a long time but now that I don't get a 20% discount anymore I'm going to start using Amsoil...

Hey guys I found this information on this web site. For what it's worth please check it out. Is anyone using 10W-40 weights in their bikes?

I was using Mobil 1 15w50 with a Pureone PL14610 filter. The shifting was a little clunky when cold even in very hot weather so I changed to the Mobil 1 10w40 MX4T. It works better.

Today I changed mine with Motul 5100 10W40 @ 3800 miles with a K&N oil filter. Removing lowers and putting aluminum foil on the headers is a GREAT idea BTW!!!

Anywho, this is what I noticed from the oil change. . . . .

First gear shift from neutral is clunky as usual, no big deal.

The clutch lever was a lot smoother and easier to pull in.

Shifts were VERY smooth!!! Something I'm not used to on a KAWI!

If I can recall, at one point today I shifted from 1st to 2nd and it felt like I shifted into neutral, the shift was THAT soft!
