need help with bike

bike was makeing funny sound so i change the cam tension sound stop but came bake and i have a lack in power my friend has a dyno so we put it on there and max hp was 82 any ides of whats wrong

....check your compression/leakdown on all your cylinders first. If that checks out, start hunting for loose wires. I believe the crank trigger wire and the ECM/engine harness (the one you'd plug the PC3 into) are all in that area.

...this is of course assuming that you're not getting any FI lights? And that you can verify that the bike is getting good fuel pressure and WOT signals? There are far too many things it could be to speculate.... you need to troubleshoot and elimate all the basics first if you want to get anywhere fast.

Attack life... it's going to kill you anyway.

You just have to start a process of elimination to narrow down what the problem is. Good luck!

I would do a compression test and go from there. If the noise is a loud banging noise as if you where hitting a piece of sheet metal with a hammer it is probably a bearing. But at this point with having a drastic reduction in power something serious is wrong.

It is hard to predict the issue without "hearing" the bike.

sounds like maybe cam timing jumped a tooth when you replaced the tensioner,
