MODS Front and Rear Sprocket

Ok guys I searched around and the general consensus is to get a smaller front and bigger rear sprocket, and the bike will be a different animal alltogether

I have done lots of pretty bike mods on my bike by now, she does look mighty pretty.

I installed the GI Pro with ATRE and on the hard mode the bike is a different bike, picks up in any gear like crazy, I have the Gen 2.

Now I want to do the sprocket concversion front and rear, and Im hoping not to kill my self, so I have a question for my 10R brothers.

Do I need a different chain, a smaller on, my bike has 7,000 miles, do I need a new chain?

And where is the best place to buy the sprockets, and how hard is the install.

THANKS MUCH Reps to my famiily here.

Here is a couple pics of the Beast.

Mavis

I do not have any idea, I am able to switch between 1 to 4 and I run the bike on 1 mode, and it is a night and day difference, the bike is so choppy on 1 and kicks in any gear at any rpm

chain

You wont need new chain for a -1 front, +2 rear sprocket swap.

Have fun with the CS

If your an everyday rider go -1 in front or +2 in the rear or go apeshit and do both but i wouldnt reccomend it for everyday riding w/highway, my .02 -1 CS should be enough.

sorry for my dumb question

SO the -1 tooth front will be good, the plus 2 rear is not all that

and I do tend to ride on the freeway also, road trips etc, I still want some top end speed, above 150 or so

so the -1 front, will that be 16tooth then, how many is the stock sprocket

thanks

Yes stock is 17, so 16t front. And nothin wrong with doin the rear, i mean you cant see the CS unless you pull your cover so if you do the rear you can get blingy but i've always done the CS and left rear stock, gets you the low end grunt and still goon on highway RPM's. Just my.02

so I did some research and the stock rear sprocket is 41 tooth

and I will be getting the 43 from Sportbiketrackgear, they are like 60 bucks for the gold one for some bling

-1/+2 is insane for the street IMO unless you're stunting. The -1 front is a great mod for the street. You should do 1 or the other (either -1 front or +2 rear) first and see what you think.

I may not be perfect, but at least I don't ride a Suzuki.

Ridding the Internet of bad grammar, 1 post at a time.
