Installed shift light

Did some searching but couldn't find much on this.

I took a standard shift light off a sunpro tach and installed it on my bike. You have to dissassemble you speedo and find your stock shift light led. I pulled it out and replaced it with the two wires going to my aftermarket shift light. The led's run around 3-3.5 V instead on this bike instead of 12V so I went to radio shack and got a 10mm clear led. Swapped the standard bulb out with the led, then I mounted it and have a cheap shift light you can see.

Heh, why did you "white out" the time?

Other than that! Nice touch man.

Looks cool, let me make sure I got this right, you switched out the bulb in the sun-pro light with another bulb from radio shack? T
To get the signal wire to power the sun-pro tach you broke open the stock gauges and tapped directly into the stock LED wires?

Not hating but you replaced a shift light with a shift light? Is it really that much easier to see? Looks good though.

I didn't white out the time, must be the glare when I took the pic.

Yeah, took apart the speedo and removed the led off the board and ran my wires off the board to the shift light.

I had trouble seing the stock shift light this one is Much brighter and bigger. makes it easier to hit my shifts at the same point when I drag race it.
Thanks for the comments.
