Installed power Commander, question

Installed my PC just now and no problems. Bike started up, etc. I know you have to attach a 9volt battery to use on computer, my question, do you need to attach 9 volt battery when it is on your bike? Does it need the battery to work properly? Thanks.

It was my understanding that the 9 volt battery plug is for giving the pc power to download a map if it is not hooked up to the bike.

Yes, you only need the 9v battery if it's not hooked up to the battery on the bike.

Arrow full system w/ shorty carbon can, hyper pro damper, puig db, muzzys frame sliders, power commander, competition werkes fender kit, seat cowl, flush mount CA signals, Arata rearsets, gold pazzo shorties, galfer lines and corsa III's.

Gets power when the bike is started up I found. Works great. There is really a huge difference (to me) with the base map, I have no mods yet. It really smoothed out the power curve, can feel it. Can't wait to get my slip-ons and BMC Race filter. Peace,

No, using the pre-installed for stock bike. Looked at the changes in the control panel, and I see where it richens it up in places, and leans in other places. Anyway, is there another map for complete stock setup? To me, the bike is alot more smooth on acceleration. Let me know. Peace.

One more power commander question

Got the basic function down now, hooked up to cimputer, looked at all the variables, etc.. I have not looked at throttle position yet with bike running, I am going to do it this weekend. If the closed value is not on "0" should I reset it? Bike seems to be running great. Only issue is it starts harder than usual, takes 2 times now and it idles rough for about 30 seconds until warm. Anyway thanks for the feedback, Peace :
