Injector Cleaner

Hi Folks,
spring has finally sprung in this part of the world and thinking about getting out and about on the bike.
As it has been sitting in the garage over the winter (about 6 months) with about 3 static engine runs over that period (for about 15 mins each), do you think it is worth putting in some STP or similar injector cleaner. my thinking is would the unleaded petrol have gummed up the injectors a bit over this type of time period.

Thanks and all the best
John

skip it. drain the old gas out, put in some fresh premium and ride. (change oil too) The feds mandate enough cleaner in the fuel as is due for emmisions reasons.

Find the best fuel injector cleaner. (LUCUS @ $7.99 a bottle) Put that in the bike it won't hurt it any but it"ll help alot. Especially after sitting for 6 months...

I just used some sta-bil when I knew it'd be a while before I got to start my bike.... over the last 4 months, I've started the bike about 6 times to let it warm up and idle for a bit... after having the sta-bil in it, I get a little puff of smoke with a quick high rev, but was told by a 60yr. old Kaw service tech that any engine should do that after having sta-bil (or other stabilizer) in it for a while...

If anything, I'd just use a small amount of SeaFoam... by far the best cleaner/water remover of them all... can use it for all engines with almost all liquids... get it at Town&Country/True Value and a few other places... maybe O Reileys
