Whoa- hope you didn't screw anything up.

Not supposed to remove the cover.

You only needed to loosen the two security torx bolts just enough to rotate the whole assembly forward. The bolt holes only let it rotate so much, don't force it.

Sarah Palin and friends can call it a snow machine all they want but Yamaha, Polaris and Bombardier plus the related magazines all seem to call them Snowmobiles.

Snow machines create snow on ski slopes. Just sayin'

As long as nothing moved when you took the cover off, you might be okay.

Maybe it only lines up one way?

well i just threw everything back together, started it up and it idled around 2-2500 for a couple secs then fell below 1k but if i read correctly theres a lil screw you adjust for that if it bothers you? bout to take it out for a test run along w the new 1/5th throttle mod ;)

You can probably get away with just adjusting the idle knob at left knee rather than the whole idle screw thing- I did.

ok wasnt trying to get it wide open around the neighborhood but there was a significant change. the only complaint i have is the popping sound i get coming from my air box/throttle bodies when i rapidly decelerate

That'll happen.

A good map will help and you'll be wasting fuel without a tre ready map.

The kleen mod will eliminate a huge part of the popping but not necesarilly all of it if you still have stock headers like I do.

Ivan said some of the popping is the shape or design of the stock headers, the rest is air being pumped in to burn off the wasted gas.

wow, i never knew that. i always expected that popping was an exhaust thing as it was on my r6.
