So.. it took me a while just like you.. but then I got it done.. rode on the new one for a couple weeks.. then my brother kisses the side walk with the new wheel and I had to buy a yet new new one and put it on.. I wished I waited .. it would've been free to replace it

I'd take care of it if I were you. Just change it out when you get a new front tire. Won't take any extra time.

I'd do it. Havnt heard of any failures, but if you wait and fail to do the recall and it goes out after Kawi notified you, you may be out a wheel and whatever else is rashed.

3 seperations worldwide. The only one that started to fail while riding was in Europe. Other 2 were post-crash wheel inspections. It didn't split apart in a zillion pieces like the BSTs on that red ducati did (we all know what I'm talking about). The vibration was so bad as it came closer to failure the 10's recalled wheel became unrideable. So it didn't kill anybody.

it took me a while to go get the recall, but i had no worries. i finally did it not too long ago.

Kip: Napoleon, don't be jealous that I've been chatting online with babes all day. Besides, we both know that I'm training to be a cage fighter.
Pedro: Yes. I don't understand... they say you're not allowed to have pinatas that look like real people, but in Mexico, we do it all the time.
Pedro: Vote for me, and all your wildest dreams will come true.

Having just bent my replacement wheel and paying for the third wheel on the bike, I now I wish I had waited to have the recall done, that way I could have given them a bent hoop and gotten a straight one for free. Now I'm paying for a straight one :-(.
BTW, If you can't get hooked up, the best place I've found for a front wheel so far is Cycle-parts.com for about $435.
