? How to spot a good wheel

I want to buy a set of spare wheels to mount my rains. Question is how do you know if you are buying a "recall done" wheel or not. I talked to the stealership today and he didn't know except that they are supposed to cut the i.d. #'s from the wheel and send it to Kaw.
So I went and looked at the #'s on my wheels on the "spoke" close to the hub:
Front stamped 8 04 and 12 c4
Rear stamped 10 03 and 16 c1
Does anyone know how to ID a front wheel by itself that it is a recall replacement?

As your dealership said the recalled wheels are having the section with the manuf date cut out/off. The late dates such as your 8-04 is a replacement wheel. If your buying off the internet from someone this may be your only way of finding out.
