How to polish your frame.
First you need to strip the bike down. You can go all the way (motor ect) or you can just remove your bodywork and swingarm, its up to you. Your going to need some heavy duty oven cleaner. Dont buy the cheap stuff because it doesnt work! If you left the motor in be sure to mask everything off with plastic or the oven cleaner will take the paint off of the case covers and everything else you have exposed! You also might want to invest in a good 3m mask and good oven gloves for this whole project! The oven cleaner is harsh and so is the dust from the compounds. Its a real dirty job! Spray the frame down and let it sit for about a half an hour. To clean the oven cleaner off wash the frame with some dish soap. If you have a DA or palm sander it will make the job a whole lot easier. I like the DA. Get some 400 grit and sand that cast area untill its smooth! Dont leave any pits! Any shortcuts taken will show in the end. Once its smooth get some 400 up to 2000 sheets of wet sand paper. Your now going to start sanding the whole frame including the cast area with 400 WET on up to 2000 WET AGAIN DONT TAKE SHORT CUTS!! ANY SCRATCHES YOU'VE LEFT WILL SHOW!! Once this is done you will need to buy some buffing wheels and compound. You will need the four inch buffing wheels and black, brown compounds. These can be bought at Home depot. You will also need a angle grinder. What I like to do is take the grinding wheels off the grinder and replace them with the buffing wheels. When you have these things its time to start! Turn on the grinder with the buffing wheel attached and take some of the black compound and put it on the wheel. Then start on the frame. You will start to see a shine but it will look dull. When the whole frame is done change the buffing wheel to a nice new one. Grab the brown and do the same as you did with the black. The frame will really start to show your hard work! When thats done clean the frame off. Grab some mothers polish and rub with a buffing wheel by hand untill it shines like you want it to. Thats it your done! Now you gots a fat bling blingin ride! All this can also be done by hand but its a BITCH!
