How to adapt R1's Marchesini wheels to my Zx10r '05

Hello!
Anyone know if is possible to adapt marchesini wheels (or other light wheels) to my zx10r 2005?

I think that maybe I need change axles, and spacers, but anything else?

Thank you!

After a Gen1 , and Gen3, finally my Gen5 ride hard with some gifts.

just a guess but perhaps bearings, inner spacer but you would use the OEM axles and adapt everthing to them if possible.

Brake rotor offsets maybe different, check to see if they line up in the centre of the calipers before you go to far.

I know that will be more complicated than over the paper and is not only to switch both wheels. But i love start new projects.

Nobody has done this yet?

My advantage is that my friends have R1's and I will have wheels to try to mount and find solutions before to buy Magnesium wheels.

BDaddy:The bike will be for race only, I could use more thin axles if it's necessary and more easy than modify bearings. We are using cbr600 axles in our 24 Hours Endurance's R1 because the quick wheel change system is adapted to this thin axles.

FAF: I'm thinking that if I can mount r1's monoblock calipers without major modifications, the offset of rotors is the same between both wheels, maybe correct?

Thaks to all

What you need to do is make sure the forks on the R1 are the same distance apart as the forks on the ZX10R , if they are and the rotor spacing is the same for both wheels then everything should line up and it is just a matter of making spacers and finding axles to suit.

Yes I'm considering to buy the correct wheels, but in Spain we have few Zx10r, and is very dificult to buy used wheels (and anything else).
On the other hand, a pair of dymag or marchesini rims for R1's costs only 900$... is a great difference.
