Hole in header???

What’s happening Kawiworld. Quick question. When I picked up my 5th Gen, a tech said that slip ons can cause a hole in one of the headers over time. Has anyone heard/ come across this before?. All input is GREATLY appreciated.

That's impossible and the dumbest thing I've heard in a while.

It might run slightly leaner with a slip on, but not nearly as lean as if you removed the cat as well. Leaner = hotter, but can't imagine adding a slip-on would cause it to run hot enough to burn a hole through a titanium header. :) It's certainly better if you tune the bike after any change to the exhaust of course.

Sounds like that Tech has a hole in his head already.

I may not be perfect, but at least I don't ride a Suzuki.
