Help on Spec 1R shield

I have a 05' style Bostrom Suomy spec1R, charcoal base color with the red/blue and stars in a twisted design on the side. I want to buy a Suomy "blue" iridium shield off of ebay. I have been told that the tint from the inside is pretty dark (not what I'm after really) but my question is if anyone on here can comment on the blue iridium on the outside. I don't want it if it looks purple. I want it to kinda match the shade of the blue on the side of my helmet. The pics online make it look like it will, but iridium colors are hard to judge from pics.
thanks for any info!!!

You might want to try sourcing a Spec1R Extreme shield, they are the ones that come on the Exreme model, they are kind of a rainbow irridium, which I know you said you were not crazy about, but they have next to no tint on them, they are basically a clear shield with the irridium mirror coat. I hate mine, and would gladley trade it for a dark tinted shield. But I ride pretty much daytime only.

I loved mine but the iridium started to peel off the outside after about 2 years. Now I just ride with a dark smoke and love it.

How fast is too fast?

The Spec 1R and Extreme use the same visors however the Extreme comes with the Ultra Tech which has an additional infra-red blocking, anti fog, and hydrophobic coating which is suppose to help in wet weather riding. The iriduim visor is blue, I've had mine for 4+ year with out any problems.

It's Not denial, I'm just very selective about the reality I accept.

Thats the one (on the right) I have been looking at. From that vendor. I actually like the normal iridium (on left) but the blue will look much better with my helmet. This is the pic I have put trust in for the color to be right. When my factory shield gets scratched ect... the extream clear iridium will replace it. Just working on my X-mas to self list.
