healtech x-tre install problems

just finished doing the install and started up the bike. it will only start in neutrual and when i try to put it into gear it kills it and throws the an FI plus it only shows 6th gear when the xtre is supposed to allow the factory gear indcator work...what have i done wrong....i check all my conections with a volt meter everything checked out on the xtre side on the factory side only one conector showed anything could this be my problem and what could have caused it.

Check your wires. I had mine connected wrong when I first installed it and it threw off the the blinking FI light. Check the negatives match the negatives and positive to positive. That is probably the issue. After I corrected it everything was beautiful, and smiles ever since. Good luck!

There's no such thing as horsepower overload or a bike that carries its front wheel too often.

thanks ill give those a try tomorrow also when i took the xtre box out and used the jumper plug and connected the factory plugs back together it would show first gear but would still throw the FI light and kill it.

Use solder

I had to solder mine ,those butt connectors are crap,now it works!
