Header is burning the fairing

I tried using header wrap, but the header is still burning through the fairing.
Does anyone know of any technics/materials that I can use to prevent the fairing from burning?

Thanks.

Your solution might be to get your bike tuned with a PCIII. Remember header wrap will make the pipes hotter not cooler. If you have a tuned PCIII and are still experiencing issues with heat try adding an insulated heat barrier on you plastics. It is sold at most auto parts stores, OPP racing also sells kits http://www.oppracing.com/products.ph...roduct&id=3033

need more info. t/m/y bike and any mods. taking a stab in the dark from the comfort of my armchair: if you've added pipe/air filter without a tune/correct map you're bike will run lean/hot. not good for your fairing and not good for your motor. luck...

A description or pic of the effected area would help us help you.

I can't post any pictures as the fairing is now in a body shop getting painted.
However, thanks for all the help.

Had the same problem with a Honda 1000RR once, sent it to get ceramic coated. That stopped the fairing from melting. Hope that helps
