Gen 4 rods

Anyone know if Gen 4 rods will fit in a Gen 2/3 motor?

not for sure, but doubt it. gen 4 has rod/crank centerline offset 2mm to reduce loading on ex. side reducing friction.

I found this while researching the 2mm offset.

depends on if and how kaw compensated rod length for wristpin and rod journal offset. if rods are same length, moving them 2mm back to preious gen centerline would affect deck height to a point not workable. with altered crank, altered wristpin location, different pistons, and gen 4 head deck at different angle, i would forsee some problems making it work. just a opinion and pure benchracing. if looking for stronger budget rod, shot peening and heat treating good option often overlooked.

Anyone else have some input on this subject? Gen 4 rods would be a great substitute for the more expense H Beam rods if they are compatible??

ebay 1 rod and measure it up. questions will be answered.

2004 ZX10R-few mods here and there......
and even made more Evil by Woolich.
