The clutch is a wear item and not covered under the warranty unless there's a serious issue with it like a clutch basket problem or it doesn't work at all. Most likely, a slipping clutch on a 5,000 mile bike would get denied for warranty replacement. That said, you may ask your dealer and see, just don't expect much.
Have you checked the clutch adjustment? Do you have the proper freeplay at the clutch lever? What oil is in there now? How often was it changed? How is the bike ridden (i.e.- dragged, raced, stunted, etc)?
Best bet is to try the dealer for warranty work. When that doesn't work, open the motor up and replace the fiber plates. It's pretty cheap and easy to do that yourself. An oil change alone isn't going to magically correct the problem of a slipping clutch.
I may not be perfect, but at least I don't ride a Suzuki.
