best tip is to use a phillips that fits the best you can find to remove those screws, they strip super super easy! other than that its a very basic mod, took mine out and never looked back

believe it not I used a drill with a Phillips head screw driver bit and it ran them right on out just a easy as could be. I originally thought it would be easier to use just a regular old screw driver but I almost stripped the first 2 I did. I had the drill sitting there from taking the air box off so I slapped on that smaller bit and worked wonders. (this was on a gen 1 but I imagine most are the same)

If you want it to go smooth, remove the hole air box so your dead on top of the throttle bodies! That way you have a straight shot on all the screws & you don't strip them...

Do a search and read the responses from the various members on this site.
Drag racers seem to like them out, where as some road racers prefer to leave them in.

My tuner and I had a lengthy discussion about this mod. We took into account the type of riding that I do, and what I was likely to experience with the secondaries out. We decided to leave them intact.
