Was the gen 1 zx10's the lightest 1000

Was the 04/05 ZX10 the lightest 1000 ever made.......What did they weigh dry and wet..?? anyone know what the 2nd and 3rd gens weigh dry and wet..??

yeah, thats why i was asking...i remember the magazine issue that did the 04 against the 08 and I thought I remember it saying that the widowmaker was 375 dry....?

I believe the k5 k6 gsxr thou was lighter. I even recall the k1 and k2 being close to the 410 mark wet. Remember just because your lighter doesn't mean it's better, weight has to be in the right places.

I think 375 was kawi's claim and that can be without battery, tools, even fork and engine oil.

The 409 is probably on sport rider's scale with everything but gas.

Sarah Palin and friends can call it a snow machine all they want but Yamaha, Polaris and Bombardier plus the related magazines all seem to call them Snowmobiles.

Snow machines create snow on ski slopes. Just sayin'

the 375was kawasaki's claimed shipping weight, seanc is correct in his actual weights. the zuk 1000 was 5 lb. heavier at 414 dry, the honda was 28 lb heavier at 437, yamaha was 12 lbs at 421. i believe the answer to kirks question is yes, the 04-05 zx10 is the lightest ever mass produced.

gsxrs have ALOT of weight on the front end gas tank area i hate riding them i can barely hold em up in the burn out box.
