Fairing removal - clocks too??

I'm looking to swap my road fairings for track ones, I assume this is pretty straightforward.

But before I start this, anyone tell me if there's any tips, things to avoid, easy ways to do this etc, etc, etc.... it looks like I have to remove the screen to get the top fairing off, is this the case?

Also, I'm only looking to have a tach for the track, can I disconnect the speedo? Or remove both the speedo and tacho and the bike will still run?

Or is the bike electrically wired so that it must have the speedo and tach connected to run?

Or is there a fuse that I can pull that'll disable them?

Sorry of these have been asked before.

the bike will run with the gauges not plugged in.

Id take the screen off. Itl make things a lot easier.

Thanks - I've managed to get the fairings off now - pretty straightforward really, its the connectors on the side that are tricky. All OK now

Thanks
