EvoII can question..

I know the II can has a fat outlet, but according to akros website,to the best of my research, they list the inlet as the same size? is that right? it kinda looks like they list the outlet the same size too.. so if thats correct, a guy with a evoI system could just order the evoII shorty can. am i correct?

I'm pretty sure both the inlet and outlet are both larger on the II than the evo I. I can measure if needed.

The inlet on my EVO1 can is 2.375 inches. I would think the EVO1 and EVO2 inlets are the same size, just the length of the can is different. They might be interchangeable.

Anyone get to the bottom of this? Will the evo2 can fit on the evo1 system?

Response I got from Akrapovic on this topic...

"Dear Jon,

the muffler for ZX10R 2005 from our EVO II exhaust system will fit the exhaust system (link pipe) from

our EVO I series. Both mufflers have the same inlet hole diameter, but you should consider noise levels which are

greater from those in EVO I axhaust system.

Please visit our web site for additional information.

Best regards

Akrapovic R&D team"

So it looks like it WILL fit.
