dynojet quickshifter question

Getting ready to install. But I am confused as to the handlebar mounted switch.

Doesnt this automatically kill the fuel charge when the shift lever is raised?

What's the point of the bar mounted switch?

I can still upshift with clutch if I like, right?

the bar mounted switch is for like racing rules for no quick shifter, basically you put pressure on the shifter and then press the button and it will shit info gear.....kinda like a last resort to havin a quick shifter.

you have the regular linear shifter?

The box says " shift rod pressure tension sensor/ linear travel sensor/Bar mounted switch/shift rod"

So that's a "yes" I think.

Did you need to buy the push rod A or did you make the stock shift rod work?

I have a new pushrod from DJ, but as I said, dont have things working yet.

This is not a slam on the shifter, the problem is me not working with it yet.
