Cutting on a full system pipe? Good or Bad?!

Looking for any helpful pointers. I have a Full micron system on my '04 ZX10R and think it would look better If i cut down the slip on/pipe. Would this help or hinder the performance? One of my buddies says I would be ruining it because it is a 'tuned' full system. I think its titanium? I will try to find a good pic and add it here. I thought it would look better cut almost in half? I already removed the bolt and the pipe comes apart and removed the packing material. It is a little too loud but I was thinking cut it down and reinstall the stuffing? It would be a sinch
to cut and make look good. What do you guys think??? Thanks for any help.

98% of all Harleys ever sold are still on the road. The other 2% made it home.

Do you really need to remap it for cutting the pipe down? it won't make much difference just the sound right?

me either, u should be fine...in all honestly the seasons and changing weather have way more of an affect than cutting down the pipe.

I did it

Here is a few pics, cut it and had to weld the inside pipe tip back on but turned out great! Looks good and sounds great!

looks good. I did that with my muzzy but cut it shorter than that. I really like the sound. I packed it with a lot of the packing material I took out of the other head. So it was basically repacked too.

Yours came out really well.
