Close Call this morning

Rode to work today and the adjusting screw on my axle blocks snapped. of-course this was on the sprocket side and it pulled my axle all the way forward. This is what I had on there, went back to stock blocks don't seem to have to worry about them failing based on design. I'll post pics tomorrow if I get a change. Head pop'd right off the bolt. fun morning.

I was being sarcastic, I wanted to buy them actually but I might not now.
On a serious note I'm glad it wasn't worse.

There should be almost no tension on the adjuster bolts. All they are for is lining up the axle before you tighten down the axle nut. You should be able to ride with the adjuster bolts removed, because the axle nut is doing its job.
Odds are, if the axle is crooked or the nut comes loose it will damage the adjusters/bolts. They are not supposed to bear any of the drive load. Use them to line up the marks, then hold your wheel forward against them while you tighten the axle nut. Once the nut is good and tight, barely snug your adjuster bolts so they aren't loose and then hold them in place and use a second wrench to tighten the lock nut on each bolt. 99% of the time they break is because of an error in setup.

A 1st Gen Ten will eat the hearts of grown men.

Yea just got the bike a couple of weeks ago when I pulled the tire off nut was a little loose. I guess I shouldn't have trusted the PO that much. Doing a full once over on the bike for sure now. Went back to the factory blocks I trust the push vice pull mentality of the whole thing in the first place. The PO told me he had heard of this happening with these a bunch of times. made me feel really good that he didn't tell me that in the first place.

Odd looking hardware. Must say that I did have dealer do tires when mine was in there getting a new battery cable. Never had dealer do tires as I'm so cheap, but I kinda felt a little uneasy and, despite being VERY lazy and confident, checked nut torques on both and the pinch bolts on both sides. All good.

Then I remembered that I never checked ANYTHING on a new bike upon delivery. All of them.

I think the seller didn't like you.
