Chain HYPE?

Hi, All

How to read through the HYPE???
RK Racing claims their 525 GXW chains last WAAAYY longer than their XSO chain. they both measure the same and have the same (4000 Kg) tensile strength, the only difference being the shape of the "O" ring. Does the type of seal really make such a huge diffrence? Is it worth the extra $40??

Assuming I stay with stock 525 size, what brand/types chain are recommended? Any Clear Favorites?

Any High Mileage riders out there? I'm at 50k miles on my '04 commuter (bought in '05) and the main concern is longevity vs price...Tired of working on my bikes....

I'm also looking at Sidewinder Titanium sprockets: Any experience with these?
sidewindersprockets.com/titanium_sprockets

TIA

dood

Tensile strength and the wear index are both important factors when considering chains so if someone is into specs then be mindful of these two.

Personally i've had great luck/success with DID & EK chains.

As for the 'O' or 'X' ring i'm not certian if its hype or not.

Go with sidewinder...they are too good for real. I raced them...Motocross.., they last forever and chain sprocket kit matches perfectly.

So You think I should use their chain as well as sprockets? Which one, 10,000lbs?

my only concern with their guarentee'd for life claim is that chains and sprockets wear together and if your running lets say an EK chain, go to change it after 15k miles, but the sprockets are still like new, would this not matter? Or b/c they never wear down there is no issue? if thats the case the next chain/sprocket swap i'll be getting theirs.

When the time comes to replace my sprockets I will go to EK again...Used on all my bikes...I liked the gold ones.
